Throwing down the dev gauntlet

A challenge issued to WordPress theme developers: create an original “innovative and interesting” theme. David at Blogging Pro says he’s tired of old themes being rehashed and is ready for something new. And I wonder if that has something to do with the broadening of the WordPress community.
